Abstract In 1974, Harris Howell, along with Dennis East, interviewed Carl Brown, a foreman at Ford Motor Company and a president of the the foremen's union, Foreman's Association of America (FAA), organized in 1941 at Ford. Collection consists of the interview recording and transcript about founding and development of the Foreman’s Association of America.
Abstract In 1975, professor of American studies Betty Ch'maj, with assistance from Dennis East, interviewed Frank Felt, a Finnish-American worker in the tool and die industry. Collection consists of a recording of the interview. Felt talks about Finnish contributions the labor movement in Finland and the United States, as well as his own experiences as a tool and die tradesman.

Abstract In 1984, Dennis East interviewed Fred Thompson, IWW labor organizer and an instructor and director, 1927-1941, at the Work People's College (Työväen Opisto), a radical labor college near Duluth, Minnesota. Silvey, who worked in the printer's trade before becoming a full-time labor organizer, educator, and speaker with the CIO. Silvey talks about his career as a speaker and writer with the Ohio CIO Council and the national CIO, as well as his early life.
