Abstract
Between 1985 and 1987, as part of an American Federation of Teachers-sponsored project, oral historian Renee Epstein interviewed leading figures in AFT on signficant aspects of their history with the union. Ray Howe was born 30 July 1921. After serving in the Korean conflict, Howe married and began teaching at Lowrey Junior High School in Dearborn Michigan and from 1955-1959 he taught at Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn.
