Pat Thornton was a precinct delegate for the 17th District in Michigan. In early 1966, she, along with John Weiss (University of Michigan Professor), Otto Feinstein (Wayne State University Professor), and Mary Davis (Precinct Delegate) helped form the Council for Democratic Action.
