Abstract In 1956 Larry Itliong founded the Filipino Farm Labor Union in California. With the formation in 1967 of UFWOC (United Farm Workers Organizing Committee) Larry Itliong became Assistant Director to Cesar Chavez in the union that would eventually become the UFW.
