Abstract
The Fair Practices and Anti-Discrimination Department was established by Article 25, a constitutional amendment, at the International Convention, March 1946. A Committee of the International Executive Board was appointed to administer the department, and a staff was appointed. Each local union in turn was expected to set up a Fair Practices Committee.
