Abstract
From the 1960s to the early 2000s, Beulah Groehn Croxford was a resident of West Canfield Street, located between Second and Third Avenues in Detroit, Michigan. Croxford lived in a historic home, actively working for the preservation of both her block and neighborhood. In 1969, Croxford organized the Canfield West-Wayne Preservation Association, created to enable the restoration and preservation of the block’s homes.
