Abstract United Farm Workers grew out of several farm workers organizations of the 1960s and was led by Cesar Chavez for over thirty years. Abstract Peter Velasco has served in a number of positions in the UFW. He worked as the Stockton, California Field Office Director, as the director of the Strike Defense Fund, was a board member of the Farm Workers Credit Union, and was a member of the National Executive Board member since 1973.
