Abstract
(MEC) span from the 1970s to 1991 when Pan Am ceased operations. The PAA MEC worked to ensure its pilots had fair working agreements, and focused on retirement and insurance for all levels of cockpit crew. In 1980, Pan Am bought National Airlines (NAL) in an attempt to expand their domestic routes and increase revenue.
