Identifier: LAV002404
Abstract The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) was founded in 1921 as a union of flat janitors. Over the years it has grown in size and scope, and now comprises three divisions: healthcare, property services, and public services. Mr. Morton H. Shapiro was a rank-and-file member within SEIU. Over the years he collected an assortment of political campaign bumper stickers and posters generated by CSEA-SEIU Local 1000, which are the materials found within this collection.
