Abstract Between 1970 and 1987, Walter P. Reuther Library staff undertook a project to document the early history of the American Newspaper Guild by interviewing Guild pioneers. Alan D. Cline, a retired San Franscisco reporter and past San Francisco Oakland Newspaper Guild President, contributed to the project as well.
