Abstract Eugene Barnett was one of eight IWW members convicted of murder following a raid by American Legionnaires on the Centralia, Washington, IWW hall on Armistice Day 1919. He was jailed from 1920 to 1931. Around 1940, folklorist and IWW activist Ben Legere interviewed Eugene Barnett about his involvement in the 1919 Centralia events.
