Scope and Content
Collection consists of eight interviews with Finnish-American socialists on their political views, community, and lives. Recordings exist for all interviews. Transcripts exist for the following interviews: Ida Bjorkquist, Charles Jay, James Jukela, Elvera Kanerva, and Ilma Reynolds. The James Jukela interview spans more than one tape.
Interviews were conducted with the following eight participants: Ida Bjorkquist, John Bjorkquist, F. Toivo Feldt, Charles Jay, the boxer James Jukela (a.ka. Joe Rivers and Joe Weller), Elvera Kanerva, Ilmi Reynolds, and Ina Santti (nee Hanninan).
