History
Elaine Latzman Moon is an author and poet, and has been publishing extensively since 1974. She has also been involved in educating students in writing up to 2013.
Moon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University in 1967, and then her Master of Arts from Wayne in 1996. She had become involved with a number of projects in between her degrees, including membership on the Detroit Bicentennial Commission, the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and the Detroit Urban League. Since obtaining her MA, Moon has been an instructor in writing until 2013, working for Wayne State University and Henry Ford Community College, and conducting workshops for a number of diversity organizations, including Freedom House, Jabavu Seminary, and the Veterans Medical Center.
