Morris Bartel Schnapper served as an editor of the Washington, D.C. Public Affairs Press and wrote several books on economic and politics. Mr. Schnapper’s papers primarily document the affairs of Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) President, Philip Murray. Post-war employment, labor and health legislation, human rights, and the United Nations are among subjects included in the collection.

The papers of Morris Bartel Schnapper placed by him in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs in September of 1971 and were opened for research in August of 1981.
