History

Casper P. Kenny was born in Tuscola County, Michigan, in August 1905. A member of Buick Local 599 in Flint, he was plant committeeman from 1937 to 1940, 1942 to 1943 and 1949 to 1959. In 1941 he served as vice president of the C.I.O. Council. During 1941 to 1942, he was recording secretary of Local 599. He was a member of the Shop Committee in 1942 to 1943. Kenny was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, serving from 1944 to 1946. He was a field representative for the Public Workers-C.I.O. (S.C.M.W.A.) from 1943 to 1948.
