Andrew Ignasiak joined the UAW in 1937. In 1943, he was elected president of the Gear and Axle, Building 7 Division of UAW Local 600. Mr. Ignasiak is now with the UAW's auditing department.

Correspondence, clippings, leaflets, and flyers collected by Mr. Ignasiak, who served as president of the Gear and Axle Division of UAW Ford Local 600 (1943-47), and International representative with the Auditing Department of the UAW (1949-66). The Local 600 election of 1946 is discussed.
