Abstract

As a press-operator at Delco-Remy, Kokomo, Indiana, Alvin Fellow was an early member of the United Auto Workers-Congress of Industrial Organizations (UAW-CIO) Local 292. His papers concern the organization of Local 292.

History

Alvin Fellow was born in September of 1910. In October 1938, he was hired as a press operator at the Delco-Remy company in Kokomo, Indiana. He was an early member of the local Congress of Industrial Organizations (C.I.O.) union and served as president of the local from 1939 to 1944.

Acquisition

The papers of Alvin L. Fellow were placed in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs in January of 1986 by Mr. Fellow and were opened for research in May of 1991.
