Alvin Fellow was born in September of 1910. In October 1938, he was hired as a press operator at the Delco-Remy company in Kokomo, Indiana. He was an early member of the local Congress of Industrial Organizations (C.I.O.) union and served as president of the local from 1939 to 1944.
