Change to Win Federation Records

 Collection
Identifier: LR001936

Scope and Content

This collection reveals the early years of the federation, which is now a strategic organizing center, and includes materials from departing unions critiquing the administration of AFL-CIO for being overly concerned with its own internal politics and revenue-creation for its leaders' salaries instead of the health and rights of the union member workers. The Change to Win collection features letters and emails from AFL-CIO union members that reveal a variety of voices opposed to and in favor of the new merger of unions.
