History

Mr. Lamp her belonged to the International Printing Pressmen and Assistants Union of North America (IPPAU) and was an officer in the Detroit Printing Pressmen Union #2 (DPPU #2). The papers of Mr. Lamp her reflect his work with these unions, the ALF-CIO, and other activities as well.

Abstract

Lloyd Lampher was a member of the International Pressman and Assistants Union of North America and an officer of the Detroit Printing Press Union #2. His papers reflect his work with these unions.

Arrangement

Arranged in 3 series – Series 1 (Boxes 1-3), Series 2 (Boxes 3-4) and Series 3 (Boxes 4-5). Folders in Series 1 and 2 are arranged chronologically and folders in Series 3 are arranged by subject.

Acquisition

The papers of Lloyd Lamp her were placed in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs in July of 1982 and were opened for research in December of 1989.

Transfers

Constitutions and by-laws, collective bargaining agreements, publications, and pamphlets are available in the Archives Library. Buttons, pins, and other memorabilia are available in the Audiovisual Department.
