Scope and Content

This two box collection consists mostly of the Rosedale Park Improvement Association's newsletter, The Rosedale Park News, along with articles, correspondence, directories, flyers, minutes, agendas as well as other organizational and election records from 1932 to 2016. Though mostly paper records, there is one floppy disc with the collection and one photograph in the AV Department.

History

This collection consists of the records of the Rosedale Park Improvement Association, which was established in 1916. This active organization is made up of residents of the Rosedale Park neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. The Rosedale Park Improvement Association is led by elected Officers and Board of Directors and provides information and support for residents along with social activities. It also is involved with crime prevention efforts.

Abstract

This collection contains the records of the Rosedale Park Improvement Association, which is a group that promotes the well-being and safety of the Rosedale Park neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. The records consist of organizational records, publications, and their newsletter, The Rosedale Park News, and cover the period of 1932 to 2016. The collection gives a glimpse into the running and activities of this organization and resources available to and the expectations of the neighborhood’s residents.

Acquisition

The Rosedale Park Improvement Association Records were deposited at the Reuther Library by Pam Weinstein in November, 2015.
