The UFW Ohio Boycott was part of a nationwide series of boycotts that the United Farm Workers of America (UFW) spearheaded during the mid 1960s and 1970s. These boycotts alerted the national consumer of the grape and lettuce strikes that had erupted in California and
other states. The main duty of all of the Ohio offices w
as to enlist support for the striking farm workers by soliciting donations, spreading information, and directing the boycott of certain agricultural crops within the state of Ohio. The Boycott had main offices in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland, with offices in other cities such as Toledo and Dayton.

Abstract
The UFW Ohio Boycott was part of a nationwide series of boycotts that the United Farm Workers of America (UFW) spearheaded during the mid 1960s and 1970s. These boycotts alerted the national consumer of the grape and lettuce strikes that had erupted in California and other states. The main duty of all of the Ohio offices was to enlist support for the striking farm workers by soliciting donations, spreading information, and directing the boycott of certain agricultural crops within the state of Ohio. The Boycott had main offices in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland, with offices in other cities such as Toledo and Dayton.

Arrangement
Arranged in 5 series – Series 1 (Boxes 1-3), Series 2 (Boxes 4-5), Series 3 (Boxes 6-22), Series 4 (Boxes 23-28), and Series 5 (Audiovisual materials). Folders in each series are simply listed by their location within each box. They are not arranged, so any given subject may be dispersed throughout several boxes within each series.
Acquisition
Materials acquired by the Reuther on March 30, 1971, February 2, 1977, January 17, 1975, November 16, 1973, February 2, 1978, and February 25, 1977.
Transfers
Some audiovisual materials were transferred to AV department (see Series V for an inventory).
