UAW Local 292, an amalgamated local representing General Motors Delco Radio Division as well as Accurate Parts and Szabo Foods workers in Kokomo, Indiana, was chartered May 7, 1940. Ralph Rosselot, president of the local in the 1960s, was succeeded in 1971 by Denzil A. Ward.
Folders are listed by their location within each box. They are not necessarily arranged, so any given subject may be dispersed throughout the entire collection.
The records of UAW Local 272 were deposited in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs on January 5, 1984.
A number of audio tapes, photographs, and items of memorabilia have been placed in the Archives Audiovisual Department and several contracts and constitutions may be found in the Archives Library.
