In addition, the collection contains minutes (microfilm and hard copy), reports, membership data, grievances, material related to contract negotiations and a number of company, union and state labor publications.

Originally Scovill Brass Workers Union, Local 569 of the International Union of Mine, Mill & Smelter Workers (CIO), United Auto Workers Local 1604 was chartered in 1950 and represented metal workers in Waterbury, Conn.


Folders are listed by their location within each box. They are not necessarily arranged, so any given subject may be dispersed throughout the entire collection.


The records of UAW 1604 were deposited in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs on June 16, 1982.
