Between 2004 and 2005, Dennis Deslippe interviewed labor leader Douglas Fraser and retired police officer Ron Mestdaugh as part of his research on the history of affirmative action in the Detroit Police Department. Collection consists of two audio interviews. Fraser, appointed by Mayor Coleman Young to chair the Detroit Police Commission, details the commission's efforts to integrate the police department.
