Abstract

United Auto Workers Local 678 originally serviced the Chevrolet plant and parts warehouse in Baltimore, MD. before merging in 1969 with Local 239, Fisher Body. The records relate to activities and operations prior to the merger.

Arrangement

Arranged in 6 series – Series 1 (Boxes 1-7), Series 2 (Boxes 8-11), Series 3 (Box 12), Series 4 (Boxes 13-15), Series 5 (Boxes 16-19), and Series 6 (Boxes 20-21). Folders are arranged alphabetically.

Acquisition

The papers of UAW Local 678 were deposited with the Archives of Labor History and Urban Affairs in 1969, by Ellison Stockton, president of UAW Local 239.
