Abstract

The United Auto Workers Agricultural Implement Department records cover primarily the activities of the International Harvester Department, concerning grievances, contract negotiations, local unions, and the assistant director. Also covered are the UAW's association with the John Deere Company and the Caterpillar Tractor Company.

Arrangement

Arranged in 6 series – Series 1 (30 MB, 9 SB), Series 2 (2 MB, 1 SB), Series 3 (1 SB), Series 4 (2 MB, 2 SB), Series 5 (2 MB) and Series 6 (4 MB). Box numberings restarts in each series. Folders are arranged alphabetically and chronologically.

Acquisition

The papers of the Agricultural Implement Department were deposited with the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs in July 1969.
