Abstract
Judge Joseph B. Sullivan was a longtime Wayne County legal and civic leader, notable for his role as a founding member of Focus: HOPE. Early in his career he was executive secretary for Detroit mayor Jerome Cavanagh, with whom he became a close friend. He was interviewed by Reuther archivist Raymond Boryczka in 1991.
