Scope and Contents

Correspondence faculty questionnaires, press releases and biographical information on the participants of the Otherlanders Program and the government agencies which offered assistance with the program - Foreign Operations Administration, Health, Education and Welfare, and United States Information Agency. The program served to acquaint educators from other lands, hence the name Otherlanders, with courses and seminars offered at Wayne University which would provide them with knowledge that could be used to improve educational conditions in their own country. The files are arranged alphabetically by subject and cover the period from 1954-1957.
