Abstract
Parkside Homes was one of the earliest public housing developments created in the United States. Built in the 1930s, the housing development was located at Warren and Conner near Chandler Park and constructed with 737 housing units. By the 1990s, Parkside Homes had been fully vacated and a revitalization plan was created by Detroit Department of Housing and Parkside residents.
