Abstract The Chicago Union Printers Baseball Association was founded in the spring of 1908 by members of the Chicago Typographical Union Number 16. In the late summer of 1908, the Chicago team, along with teams from Boston, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Washington, and Pittsburgh participated in the first Union Printers International Baseball League tournament, hosted by New York City.
